Child Safety Standards
This is a convenience translation; only the German version is legally binding. In the event of any discrepancy between this translation and the German version, the German version prevails.
Our principle
Amavi does not tolerate any sexual exploitation or sexual abuse of children — neither child sexual abuse material (CSAM) nor any other form of sexualisation, grooming or exploitation of minors (CSAE). Zero tolerance applies. This page describes our standards for the protection of children, how you report a suspicion and what happens with a report.
Adults only
Amavi may only be used from the age of 18. You enter your date of birth when setting up your profile; a date under eighteen years cannot be selected. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we block it.
All profiles in the app are fictional profiles operated by us. There is no contact between real users; your profile and your pictures are not shown to other users. The profiles exclusively represent adult, fictional characters.
What is prohibited
Under our terms and conditions, the following, among other things, are prohibited:
- depictions of child sexual abuse in any form — as a photo, video, drawing, generated image or text;
- content that sexualises minors, and any request for such content;
- attempts to bring about such content in a conversation with a profile, for example through role play with underage characters.
A violation leads to the account being blocked.
How to report a suspicion
In the app: via Report profile in the profile view or via Report in the chat. Choose a category, describe the issue and decide whether the conversation history is sent along.
By email: to info@mobiletrend.de. Describe what you saw and where. Please do not send any pictures or files that could show abuse — not even as evidence. Even forwarding them may be a criminal offence. A description and the location in the app are enough for us.
What happens with a report
- Review: Every report is reviewed by a human being, not by software alone.
- Blocking: If the suspicion is confirmed, we remove the content and block the responsible account. If it concerns a profile, we remove it from the service.
- Law enforcement: We report indications of child sexual abuse material to the law enforcement authorities, in Germany to the Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt, BKA).
- Preservation of evidence: Whatever is needed for proceedings is secured in a closed area. It is not passed on, except to the competent authorities, and is deleted once the proceedings are concluded.
External reporting points
You can also contact a complaints body independently of us:
- jugendschutz.net — www.jugendschutz.net
- Internet-Beschwerdestelle of eco and FSM — www.internet-beschwerdestelle.de
If a child is in acute danger, contact the police immediately, emergency number 110 (in Germany).
Contact point for child protection
The designated contact point for questions about child protection, also for authorities and platform operators, is the child protection team of mobile TREND GmbH, reachable at info@mobiletrend.de.
